My name is Alice Miller. I have over 17 years experience within the fitness industry with many years of personal fitness experience prior to that.
I became interested in Pilates due to its reputation for core strengthening and injury prevention and went on to qualify as a Level 3 Pilates Instructor through The Energywise Academy. This qualification is recognised by the industry standard The Register of Exercise Professionals (REPS).
Since then I have attended various workshops and training days to further my knowledge of Pilates and improve my understanding of how the body and mind work together.
As I'm a keen runner and cyclist I decided to further my qualifications by becoming a Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) program which is also recognised by REPS at Level 3.
Prior to this I managed a gym in Aberdeen where I taught exercise classes including aerobics, body conditioning, circuit and spin as well as helping numerous individuals with tailored exercise programs. I am qualified through Fitness Scotland, also recognised by REPS, as an Exercise to Music and Gym Instructor.
In 2011 I had a little girl which allowed me to experience the benefits of Pilates both during and after pregnancy. I found using basic Pilates moves and gentle aerobic training I regained my muscle tone and previous shape within a relatively short space of time. I followed this up with a boy in 2013 and then another in 2015. I am delighted to be getting back into training while staying injury free, and it is Pilates which allows me to do this.
I live in the Aberfeldy area where I teach matwork classes, 121 Pilates and Personal Training Clients.
